Financial Aid

General Information

Financial assistance to complete your undergraduate degree is available through a diversity of channels. New Mexico State University Financial Aid and Scholarship Service, for example, provides access to financial aid in the form of loans, grants, scholarships, work-study opportunities, and more. In addition, College of Arts and Sciences Scholarships as well as Department of Geography Awards and Scholarships are available to all NMSU Geography majors.

The New Mexico Alliance for Minority Participation is looking for applicants for the Fall 2021 programs.

They have three opportunities for students this semester, the STEM PREP program, the Undergraduate Research Stipend program, and the Book Stipend. Students may only apply for one program per semester. Students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours in a STEM major, and have at least a 2.5 gpa.

Applications for all three programs are due August 27, 2021. Students can find the applications HERE: https://nmamp.nmsu.edu/index.html
